In the lab on Wednesday we created our MicroAquarium. In my MicroAquarium I used the water source number 9 which is the Pond at Sterchi Hills Greenway Trail.
9. Pond at Sterchi Hills Greenway Trail. Rife Range Rd. Knox Co. Knoxville TN Full sun exposure. Sheet runoff N36 02.687 W83 57.159 1065 ft. When we first created our MicroAquariums we took soil out of the bottom of the sample of the water source we were using and put in the MicroAquarium first then we took some of the top layer of water and put it on top of the soil, then we took some water just below the service of water but not all the way down to the soil. We viewed them through the microscopes to see what was going on with the plants at the start of our observations. When viewing mine I found that there were really small snales around the plant B. The plant A did not have any organisms around the plant.
