10/25/2010 1st Viewing of microaquarium

This is a photo of a tachysoma which is circulating the water in order to push itself around. While looking at the microaquarium for the first time there were a lot of things moving around and a lot of things growing. I also found something like a spore that was growing off of a leaf but Dr. McFarland was not sure what it was at the time. There were still a few snells and they were still alive. Most of the organisms were still small and still developing. It will be interesting to see what will happen to the aquarium after the food was added. On Friday October 22, 2010 Dr. McFarlad inserted one Beta Food Pellet. "Atison's Betta Food" made by Ocean Nutrition, Aqua Pet Americas, 3528 West 500 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84104. Ingredients: Fish meal, wheat flower, soy meal, krill meal, minerals, vitamins and preservatives. Analysis: Crude Protein 36%; Crude fat 4.5%; Crude Fiber 3.5%; Moisture 8% and Ash 15%.
